Derek Almen (Captain Redstorm) posts a frequently updated LEGO webcomic called Nerds in Space on Flickr. I was amused today to see myself seated on the big red couch discussing data, content, advertising, solutions, and exposure:
With my twice-a-year Brothers-Brick.com anniversary and Brothers Brick birthday posts, my love for both content and data (with associated metadata! *drools* ) is no secret. I also have an adorable troll to do my every bidding behind the scenes. It’s hilarious how accurate Derek’s parody of me really is…
Check out all the Nerds in Space episodes on Flickr.
Oh, and Lesson #1 in how to get blogged on The Brothers Brick: Appeal to the vanity of one of the bloggers.
Yay! Webcomic attention on the Brothers Brick! Well done, Derek!
“appeal…to…the…vanity…”
That head is used to represent at least two-thirds of the fan community.
^ I know, it’s kind of hilarious how we all choose to represent ourselves as dudes with glasses — many of us also with short brown hair. I’ve been using that combination since 2003, so I do think my sigfig had some uniqueness at one point…
Appeal to the vanity; I knew it.
^ Observe how much Black Fantasy Nannan blogs here… ;-)
Black Fantasy for Nannan. Tan tri-wing starfighters for Dan. Lets see, what else is there?
Tim proved that he was not so easily baited by Cave Racers (which he invented)…
Thanks all. :) I don’t wear my glasses as much as I should, so in that way Redstorm is more real then the real me. :P
