Here’s the first wave of 2014 Ninjago sets. No word currently on the prices, but you can feast your eyes on all the cool robot goodness this wave is bringing. I, for one, welcome more robot tech.

Honestly they look like a lot of fun to play with. Like the designers said: OK 10-year-old Me, think of some cool things and write them down and then we’ll pull from a hat and see what happens. Looks like a lot of fun.
Ninja Copter: Name says it all. Ninjas in helicopters with missiles and saws.
Nindroid Mech: Robot dragon sawblades vs. laser dune buggy.
Kai fighter: Sky Ferrari with swords.
Thunder Raider: Tank racecar vs. robot ninja and laser Gatling gun.
OverBorg Attack: Tracked motorcycle joust.
Hover Hunter: Jet powered fast-attack riding lawnmower.
I really like the Kai Fighter, fun to see a nice red starfighter (or atmospheric fighter), and I applaud the restrained use of stickers and printed tiles, letting the brickwork do the styling. Are those engine intakes a new part, or have I just not noticed them elsewhere (highly likely)?
^The intakes appear to be windows (1x2x3) with something stickered behind them.
