LEGO has unveiled a massive UCS-scale version of the Tumbler from The Dark Knight. The vehicle will measure over 15 inches long and 9 inches wide, has a full interior cockpit, and includes a nameplate, and Batman and Joker minifigs. Although LEGO has produced several versions of the Joker previously, this will be the first appearance of Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight. UCS Tumbler (76023) will be available in September for $199 USD, and includes 1,869 pieces. You can see more images of the set here, or listen to the one of LEGO’s designers talking about the set here.
Holy mother of god, that is the most awesome Lego set in all known history!
Do the wheels turn? I’ve been trying to build a stable turning mechanism like this for ever
I think they do, I haven’t seen a Lego set yet where the wheels don’t turn. Also, it looks like there is a steering system on the two front wheels.
I’m eager for the inevitable designers video, but I think this thing will have a few nice tricks up its sleeve.
Sorry. turn = steer. I’m torn with the low clearance on the outside… leaning towards no

nope :(
What a coincidence! A few days ago AL13N1G3NA made this illuminated batmobile from Batman Forever Movie also to commemorate the 75th anniversary:
:)
LEGO BATMOVIL BATMAN FOREVER
Great looking Batmobile and great looking figs… but I can’t help but think that the two don’t really go together. A the figs a ‘bonus’ for fans, or are they there to drive up the ‘collectablity’ of the UCS set?
Not complaining… it just seems an odd mix. But then, LEGO has marketing professionals on staff, and I’m just an enthusiast…
WHAT… awesome set!!!!! This is one of the cooler thing’s LEGO’s made in a while.
I’d appreciate it if anyone wants to check out my SDCC coverage and other LEGO stuff on http://www.brickology.blogspot.com. Drive up the ol’ pageview tracker, y’know :)
